I got this car seat as an extra car seat for when my husband needs to pick up our son from day car, just 1.5 miles from our house. I'm EXTREMELY anal about car seats. I'm always correcting my friends on car seat safety. Our main car seat is a Britax Marathon. This is similar to the Britax Marathon as it is rear and forward facing. I read one review that said this car seat was really hard. I don't think so. It doesn't have lots of padding on the bum, but it's not hard either. The side impact on the car seat seems better in real life than the picture. This car seat doesn't have all the bells and whistles like other car seats, like the "leveler" that tells you if the car seat is in a level position. But as long as you aren't new to car seats, you should be able to figure out if its level on its own anyway.
Great car seat....easy to install...sturdy...This was a gift for my granddaughter's 6 month old baby. She loves it and so does he. Highly recommend this car seat.
